When Willy doesn’t visit

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:02 pm

When Willy, Sophie’s brother, doesn’t visit, she begins to go crazy and do things that get her in trouble.  For instance, yesterday, after over a week without seeing her brother, Sophie, shredded two napkins, about 6 feet of bamboo and part of a blanket.  She gets so annoying that Sienna and Max won’t play with her and hide from her outside.

I’m hoping Willy can come play soon, otherwise I may not have a house left.

Being thrown up on

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:40 pm

Sophie has a problem with riding in a car and getting car sick.  Normally she waits until we are on the return drive home and in the garage and then she throws up on me.

Well today, I got home early from work and sat down to pet sophie and see how she was doing.  Everything was happy and normal. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I see Sophie jumping up on the couch and running as fast as she can towards me.  As soon as she got within 1 foot of me, she opened her mouth and threw up all the way to my lap.  This wasn’t normal throw up, this was from her inhaling water and eating dog hair, so basically I got a lap full of water, bile and dog hair.

I hate being thrown up on, but for some reason, I am her designated throw up pad.

Side note on Ivy

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:02 pm

So, a while back, I said I couldn’t wait for my mom to get a little puppy that she carries around and treats like a child.

Well, guess what, she not only bought a backpack for her so she can take her everywhere, she bought a pillow bed for her that fits in the passenger seat of her car, so that Ivy can see out the window and feel safe.  Oh and she purchased a sweater for her.

The stinkiest of dogs

Normally, we take Max and Sienna outside and give them baths and Sophie takes hers in the bathtub.  Unfortunately, it has been unseasonably cold (for Phoenix) so we haven’t wanted to wash them outside.  We were planning on taking them to a local groomer (which we have done in the past) but with Sienna’s hip displaysia and age, it is getting harder and harder for her to get in and out of the car without injuring herself.

So, our search is on for a mobile groomer that others have used and liked.  If anyone knows of any mobile pet groomers that they like, please let me know.

New puppy!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:01 pm

My mom purchased a new toy poodle! This is a big deal because my stepfather is allergic and has agreed to not only purchasing a new dog, but allowing the dog inside of the house.

My mom came down to visit me for two days before we went to pick up the puppy at the airport.  We went shopping and purchased some things at IKEA (she had never been to an IKEA before) and then we I created a little puppy package for her new puppy.  The puppy package will be online soon and so far her new puppy, Ivy, loves all of the toys.  The tiny puppy package includes: a sweater, tiny tugger rope toy, mini tennis bone, 2 dog bowls, and 1 Happy Tail Shampoo Sample.  Ivy’s favorite toy is the tiny tugger rope toy - it’s almost as big as she is, but she loves it!

There will be some new photos of Ivy up soon!

Cruise

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:46 pm

We went on a cruise for my grandmother’s 80th birthday.  Sophie went to stay with her brother and Max and Sienna stayed home with my in-laws coming by twice a day to play with them and take care of them.

We came home to very excited dogs, but also very healthy and happy dogs. I’m glad we have such wonderful people to take care of them.

The holidays and the cruise were nice, but I am so happy to be home and to be with my dogs.

Puppy search

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:56 pm

My mom is on the search for a new puppy.  She is going through a little empty nest syndrome and has decided to get a small puppy (to go with her labrador and rottweiler).  My mom is not typically a small dog kind of person. In fact she has made fun of me for treating Sophie like a child.

She is currently looking for a yorkie poo or a toy poodle.  She’s trying to find a dog that will be good for my step dad’s allergies.

I can’t wait for a tiny puppy to take over her life and for her to start buying clothes for her dog.
