While we realize that not all pets will react the same to certain toys or accessories, we try to provide a wide variety of items to satisfy even the pickiest of pets (and owners too!).
Our website uses Paypal for purchase of our products. This means that your credit card number is not stored directly with Shopping with Fido, but with Paypal. This provides for a safer and quicker shopping experience.
"Fido" is a compilation of our three canine family members; Maximus, Sienna and Sophie. All three of our dogs are important members of our family who we feel deserve the best. Whether that be food, toys, clothing or attention, we want to make sure your pet receives the same.
Maximus
Maximus aka Max, is the oldest of our three dogs. Max is a Hound/Rottweiler mix (as best we can tell) who is now reaching his senior years. Maximus was born around November 1, 2000 and was found running loose in Prescott, Arizona with another puppy (not from his litter) until he was picked up by the Humane Society. Maximus was finally taken home with us the day after Christmas 2000 and has been a sweet and mild mannered dog ever since. Maximus tends to be everyone's favorite dog as he is great with people and kids and loves attention and pleasing people. Visit Max's web page. Make sure to give him a bone!!
Sienna
Sienna is our female Rottweiler who is entering middle age. Sienna was brought home to live with us after seeing an ad in the paper and visiting her owners. While there we saw that she was not in a loving, caring home and decided to bring her home in the hopes that Max would get along with her. We decided we couldn't leave her where she was born and that if Max didn't get along with her we would find a good home for her. Even though Sienna is technically an adult, she still acts like a puppy and forgets how large she is (nearing 100 lbs). She is an excellent playmate for Sophie (so long as Sophie is on the couch and protected from Sienna's large paws) Sienna was born in February 2002. Visit Sienna's webpage. Sophie
Sophie is the newest addition to our family. Sophie is a 4 1/2 lb Chihuahua who from the start has been "difficult". Shortly after bringing Sophie home she became lethargic and wouldn't eat. Finally, we decided she wasn't just stressed from her move and her new (much larger) brother and sister, but needed Veterinarian care. At the Veterinarian, we learned that Sophie was suffering from severe hypoglycemia. She was admitted for the day and we were told that most dogs don't survive when they get this hypoglycemic. However, we were very fortunate and Sophie not only survived but within a few days was bossing around Max and Sienna. However, we recently took Sophie in to be spayed and she failed her liver tests. She needed to score under 100 in order to get spayed but she scored over 300. It has been over a month and a half and with a special liver diet and pills she is thriving and her numbers are now down to 147. We are continuing her diet and hope that she will be able to be spayed soon and will have a healthy liver. View Sophie's webpage. Make sure to give her a bone!!
